Important information of pre-authorisation of credit card / debit card
A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold placed on users’ credit card or debit card to reserve funds for a future payment. It ensures that sufficient funds are available to cover the estimated charging fee and potential idle fee.
The pre-authorisation amount is calculated as the sum of estimated charging fee and maximum potential idle fee (HK$150).
Upon charging completion, the total fee will be captured from the pre-authorisation. The difference will be released back to user, subject to the policy and processing time of card issuer.
Sime Darby accept no responsibility for any charges incurred as a result of the pre-authorisation process.
