Important information of Octopus prepayment

• Octopus prepayment refers to a deduction of a certain amount from the user’s Octopus card to reserve funds for future payment. It ensures that sufficient funds are available to cover the estimated charging fee and any potential idle fee.
• The prepayment amount is calculated as the sum of estimated charging fee and maximum potential idle fee (HK$150).
  Upon charging completion, the difference between total fee and prepayment will be refunded back to user. User may get the refund at the kiosk at any of our charging stations by using the same Octopus by 23:59 on the same day.
  Please reserve enough space on user’s Octopus card for value reload to ensure that the refund can be carried out smoothly.

• If user forgot to retrieve the Octopus refund on the same day, the procedure varies depending on whether user is a member.
  • Member: the remaining refund will automatically load into KC Wallet.
  • Non-member: no pending refund shall be made after the day of charging service.
• Sime Darby accept no responsibility for any charges incurred as a result of the prepayment process.
