Kuala Lumpur, 11th June 2026 – KINETA, a subsidiary of Sime Darby Berhad, has officially
signed a 3-year extension to its Exclusive Distributorship Agreement with ZD Energy
(Shanghai Zhida Technology Development Co. Ltd.). This strategic milestone secures
KINETA’s continued sole rights to distribute ZD Energy’s premier smart energy and EV
charging solutions, reinforcing a strengthened alliance dedicated to accelerating electric
vehicle adoption and sustainable mobility across regional markets.

Since our journey began in January 2022, KINETA and ZD Energy have grown side-by-side
to drive regional EV adoption, establishing both brands as reliable and reputable industry
leaders. Today, KINETA is a dominant force in EV charging solutions, boasting over 14,000
charger sales and 9,500 successful installations across Malaysia for global automotive
giants like BMW, MINI, BYD, Jaguar Land Rover, Hyundai, Porsche, Volvo, Proton e.MAS
(Pronet), Tesla, iCaur, Zeekr and GWM. Building on this powerful momentum, KINETA is
launching its next phase of regional growth actively expanding its footprint into Singapore
while continuing to anchor and grow its core operations across Malaysia, Hong Kong, and
China.

Through this new 3-year extension agreement, KINETA secures the continued sole rights
to distribute ZD Energy’s advanced EV charging solutions across Malaysia and Singapore.
This collaborative milestone not only deepens their local footprint but also actively
supports KINETA’s core infrastructure initiatives as they grow together across Hong Kong
and China.

To mark this next chapter of innovation, the signing ceremony also served as the official
regional launchpad for ZD Energy’s next-generation product lineup, introducing the Mini
Z, Explorer 2 Flex, Explorer 2 Pro and an advanced Battery Integrated DC Charger. These
cutting-edge solutions represent a significant leap forward in smart charging, offering
residential and commercial users unparalleled flexibility, smarter energy management
and high-powered, grid-friendly DC fast charging. By deploying these new technologies,
KINETA is poised to directly address the evolving demands of EV drivers and fleet
operators, setting a new benchmark for regional charging infrastructure.
